Bill Meehan was a prolific artist. He worked in various styles and processes that lent themselves to his much admired spontaneous, gestural approach to making art. He captures and conveys the immediacy of the moment of creation. This at the risk of trusting his intuited explorations of line, shape, color, and texture to come through for him. He wings it in uncertain anticipation of its successful outcome--much like pots emerging from the kiln with their surprise eureka! potential or dashed expectation.
